Randu Terrazas, Spanish Interpreter
Cultiva Central Valley, an organization dedicated to creating health equity, provided invaluable community engagement support by outreaching to and transporting their network of Spanish-speaking residents to the Action Plan focus groups. We would not have had nearly as much community participation in the planning process without them. Additionally, Randu Terrazas provided exceptional simultaneous English-Spanish interpretation, as well as the equipment that made it possible. The rest of the Cultiva Central Valley team helped with focus group setup and breakdown, along with everything in between.
Finally, we sincerely thank the 319 Merced County residents who generously contributed their time and expertise to the focus groups that informed the recommendations in this Action Plan. We would also like to thank the following community partners whose facilities, community outreach, and logistical and staffing support made the focus groups possible:
Guadalupe Soto-Sanchez, Planada Community Center
Terri Radney, Merced Senior Community Center
Nikki Pegg, George Washington Carver Center, Dos Palos
Teresa Nava, Los Banos Community Center
Jami Westervelt & Tiffany Vitorino, City of Gustine
Scarlette Melendez, Prusso Center Building, Livingston
Paul Thao, Krista Xiong & Maly Thao, Merced Lao Family Community
Kristina Gardner, Atwater Community Center
Bruce Metcalf, Merced County Rescue Mission
